The amazing thing is probably 9 out of 10 of them are qualified where they've got some need. And then typically if I'm running appointments myself, I'll be closing somewhere between 60% to 70% of them, so 7 out of 10. And then once I get those done, then I'll hand them off to the other guys (in house reps). We're getting a lot of folks coming in the door. We're getting a lot of them signed up. We're working the referral bases. So it's really growing a nice practice for us. | |

The SET Mastery program helped quite a bit, just being exposed to the producers around the country and finding out what they're doing and how they're doing it has been invaluable. I was at a SET meeting and someone was talking about marketing to booster clubs and I decided to try it. It has been moderately successful so far but I can see it evolving over time. I can't say I'm a great idea guy, but I can take somebody else's idea and work well with it. SET and the Mastery program have given me the tools that I needed to help many families and I am proud of that. | |

Most financial planners are not educated in any way, shape, or form on College Funding and on the formulas. The only thing they know is 529s, UTMAs and save money on taxes, but the reality is there are some major issues in the planning side when you're dealing with what to do there because yes, you might save money on taxes, but if you don't know the formula, you can really get clobbered on the financial aid side, so full integration is really important; and it separates me from my competition. | |
